FORT CARSON – Fort Carson is hosting a veteran’s hiring event on Thursday.
Connect with a Vet is a hiring event designed to introduce veterans to local employers. The event is free and open to active duty service members, reservists and National Guardsmen, veterans and military spouses.
More than 80 employers with hundreds of job opening will be on hand. Participants are encouraged to dress for success and bring copies of their target resumes.
Some of the industries represented include:
- Construction, transportation and skilled trades
- City, county, state and federal government
- Customer and retail services
- Energy, oil and gas
- Utilities
- Mining and engineering
- Financial
- Healthcare and insurance
- IT/ technical
- Defense, law enforcement, fire and corrections
- Manufacturing
The event takes place Thursday, Feb. 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fort Carson’s The Hub, Building 1532.
