COLORADO SPRINGS – It’s ten inches tall, valued at $70,000 dollars and it’s missing.

It is a shining silver bird called the ‘snipe.’ The Colorado Springs Downtown Partnership tells us that it went missing from Boulder Crescent Park sometime Monday or Tuesday.

The display is on loan from a South Korean artist and was supposed to be return in three months.

The Downtown Partnership says that the crime hurts everyone.

“We welcome people from all walks of life, not all behaviors through,” said Claire Swinford with the Downtown Partnership. “There’s a way to use public space respectively and this is not it.”

There is a reward for information on where the snipe is or if it is returned. If you can help you are asked to call Colorado Springs Police at (719) 444-7000 or the Downtown Partnership at (719) 886-0088.
