CSPD investigating apparent road rage shooting

COLORADO SPRINGS – Police are investigating an apparent road rage shooting in Colorado Springs Wednesday night.

Officers said it happened near Constitution and Circle Drive around 9 p.m. Witnesses told police they saw an older white man with white or gray hair pull up next to them in a silver sedan. They told police that the man yelled obscenities and flipped off the people in the vehicle before he pulled out a handgun and fired a shot.

A passenger in the backseat was shot in the leg. He was taken to the hospital for injuries not considered to be life-threatening.

While witnesses said the shooting happened at Circle and Constitution, police contacted the victim near the intersection of Academy and San Miguel Street.
