Colorado native nominated to lead Interior Department

COLORADO – President Trump has nominated Colorado native David Bernhardt to lead the Interior Department.

Bernhardt is from Rifle and is currently Interim Secretary following Ryan Zinke’s departure in December.

Bernhardt previously served in the George W. Bush administration and was a Denver based attorney and lobbyist for the oil and gas industry.

The Senate must approve the nomination.
