CAÑON CITY – A historic hotel in Cañon City has new life.
“We think that opening up a first class boutique hotel will really serve the city well,” said Stab Bullis, hotel owner.
The Hotel St. Cloud opened its doors Friday to give people a tour of the downtown staple. Denver based company Unbridled bought the building and the president of the company wants to open it again because it will fill a need in the city.
“Cañon City has a hotel problem, there are six million people that drive right by Cañon City every year and there is only 548 hotels rooms in the city,” said Bullis.
Construction on the hotel could start as soon as June.
