COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Springs Police Department was dealing with a barricaded suspect on the east side of the city Wednesday afternoon.
According to CSPD, the suspect was in an apartment building on Firefly Circle, near Murray and Fountain.
The suspect reportedly had led police on a chase in a vehicle before running into the apartment.
Tactical units were called to the scen.
Authorities asked people to avoid the area and blocked off Murray between Michelle Ct. and Sandpiper Dr.
Around 5 p.m., police said the suspect was in custody.
Police reported that someone had been “puffing” their car when it was stolen by the suspect. Police then tracked the car to the apartments on Firefly Circle.
