DENVER – Investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children unit have arrested a Denver man for luring a child online and attempting to sexually assault her.

Investigators say 36-year-old Jason Bruener was already out on bond for the same charges in Jefferson County at the time of his arrest.

Bruener chatted online with what he thought was a 14-year-old girl. After he sent nude pictures of himself and asked her for photos, he went to meet her.

Instead, Bruener found himself face-to-face with Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Police arrested Bruener on four felony charges including Internet Luring of a Child, Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Criminal Attempt Sexual Assault on a Child, and Violation of Bail Bond Condition.

Bruener was previously arrested in October 2018 for the same charges but was released on bond in November.

Arapahoe County Investigators made 30 arrests in 2018, 15 for trying to lure and exploit children online and 15 related to possessing and distributing child pornography.
