Horse rescued from icy pond in Loveland

LOVELAND – Members of the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority saved a horse from an ice-covered pond Tuesday morning.

The horse was out on the ice in the middle of a pond on South County Road 9E in Loveland.

With assistance from Thompson Valley EMS, the Fire Rescue Authority was able to pull the horse from the pond without the animal suffering any injuries.

No rescuers were injured during the incident either.
