Police hosting class to teach basic survival tips in a crisis situation

MONUMENT – Knowing what to do in a crisis situation can sometimes mean the difference between life and death.

The Monument Police Department is hosting a personal safety class on February 20th from 6-8 p.m. at the Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce in Monument.

The class will cover the best practices on how to survive an active shooter or threatening situation and basic personal safety strategies to help the community remain a safe place.

To reserve a seat, call the police department. Anyone 16 years or older is welcome to attend.
