La Junta police looking for help in murder investigation

LA JUNTA – Police are looking for help with a murder investigation in La Junta.

Early in the morning on Jan. 20 a male victim was seriously injured in an assault. He was taken to the emergency room in La Junta, then transported to Pueblo. He died of his injuries on Friday, Jan. 25.

The victim’s name has not been released.

La Junta PD and the 16th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is asking anyone with information to contact police at (719)384-2525.

Police say at this time there is not a threat to the public.
