COLORADO SPRINGS – Wednesday evening, CSPD received multiple calls of shots fired in the 2500 block of Verde Dr.
Officers responded to the scene at the Mountain Ridge Apartments and contacted an individual who has not been identified at this time.
According to Lt. Howard Black, CSPD officers fired at least one shot which hit the suspect. This person was then transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
CSPD said the situation is over and they are not looking for anyone else.
The investigation will now be turned over to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
Verde Dr. is expected to be closed until tomorrow morning as authorities complete their investigation.
No officers were injured in this incident.
