PUEBLO- A brand new charter school is set to open in Pueblo District 70.
There was a formal groundbreaking Monday for Villa Bella Expeditionary School.
The school will be the first of its kind in the Steel City.
The founder says it will bring a different type of learning experience to students.
“What it means is that students are part of the process, they are not getting talked at all day, they are helping decide and design the instructional program and they are in charge of it,” founder Logan Gogarty said.
The school is scheduled to open by the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year.
