COLORADO SPRINGS – Last week, Colorado Parks and Wildlife once again rescued a magnificent bird of prey.
A Great Horned Owl was found injured in Colorado Springs on Wednesday.
CPW did not specify how the raptor was injured or the severity of its injuries.
Ranger Darcy Mount form Cheyenne Mountain State Park examined the bird before it was taken to the Nature and Wildlife Discovery Center in Pueblo.
At the center, the owl will join numerous other birds being rehabbed in the hopes that they can return to the wild.
