COLORADO – A Colorado man facing multiple charges, wanted by authorities in Douglas County for nine months, is now in custody.

Tuesday, police in Arizona says 41-year-old David Samuel Herbert was taken into custody at his new home in Goodyear, which is located west of Phoenix.

It is unknown at this time if Herbert has a lawyer yet.

Colorado authorities found out the suspect recently purchased a house in Goodyear and was staying with his family in the area of Estrella Mountain Ranch.

After police conducted surveillance on the house that led to a short foot pursuit into the desert, officers were able to capture and arrest Herbert, booking him in a Phoenix jail.

Herbert allegedly has a history of robbery and assault charges in the Denver area and has been wanted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office since April 2018.
