COLORADO SPRINGS – For veterans and service members trying to transition back to civilian life, there is help available.

The DOJ is hiring 50 correctional officers to work at the Federal Correctional Complex in Florence. Salary and benefits start at more than $43,000 a year.

Those planning to attend the hiring event should bring a current resume, DD214, any VA disability letters, government-issued ID, and proof of wartime service which includes things like campaign badges or Armed Forces Service Medal, if applicable.
