EL PASO COUNTY – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday that fire mitigation efforts will resume in the Black Forest area Monday afternoon.
This means crews will be performing controlled burns in the area to remove debris and brush.
The Sheriff’s Office said residents should expect smoke to be visible in the area but should not be alarmed.
This is expected to be a multi-day event.
