PUEBLO – Two men are facing charges this morning after they were arrested by the Pueblo police early Saturday morning.

An officer pulled over a car in the 1100 block of Pine and watched as the driver handed a plastic baggie to the passenger in the back seat. The passenger then dropped the baggie onto the floorboard of the car and tried to hide it. The officer noticed that it contained a white powdery substance.

Police say they believe that the baggie contains drugs. When they searched the car they also found a handgun that is retro-fitted with a possibly illegal device that makes a pistol fire like a fully automatic weapon.

The driver was arrested for narcotics possession & the passenger for narcotics possession, possession of a weapon by a previous offender and violation of a restraining order.
