COLORADO SPRINGS – Police announce an arrest for the homicide of a woman found dead from traumatic injuries in a field west of the 3700 block of Astrozon Blvd back in November.
Jacquiline Wilde’s death is the 38th homicide for 2018 investigated by the Colorado Springs Police Department. CSPD put out a plea to the public for any information on what killed the 24-year-old on November 6th.
Late Thursday, a spokesman announced 20-year-old Pedro Cruz-Quinones is jailed on charges of Accidents Involving Death, Vehicular Homicide, Manslaughter, and Criminally Negligent Homicide.
While the coroner has completed an autopsy, specific details on how Wilde died have not been released. News5 will likely learn more following Cruz-Quinones first court appearance, when court documents will be available.
The classification of a homicide adds to the unfortunate toll of 2018 as 38 cases were investigated. The prior record for the city was 32 cases in 2017, according to CSPD.
