COMMERCE CITY – Saturday, a barn fire in Commerce City resulted in “multiple horse fatalities,” the South Adams Fire Department tweeted.
The fire began just after noon at a barn in the 8300 block of Pontiac Street. Firefighters said the barn is a total loss.
Later Saturday afternoon, South Adams Fire said eight horses and one other unknown, small animal perished in the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
