COLORADO – You will be far from lonely on your holiday travels this year. In fact, Coloradans are expected to travel in record-breaking numbers by the end of the year.

Triple-A Colorado says that amounts to nearly two-million people, or close to a third of the state’s population. It’s the seventh-straight year of record travel numbers surrounding the Christmas and New Year’s time period. Triple-A attributes the growth to strong consumer confidence and plummeting gas prices.

Give yourself more than enough time to get through traffic and find parking at any airport across the Front Range. As the holiday gets closer, be prepared for far more traffic on the roadways and adjust your drive times appropriately. Lastly, make sure to keep your car’s fluid levels topped off and make sure to keep your fuel tank full. You never know how long it may take to get to a gas station when you’re stuck in traffic behind a problem on the highway.
