COLORADO SPRINGS – Police have arrested and charged a son with manslaughter for the death of his father found Monday afternoon inside a home on the 3600 block of Galley Road.
Colorado Springs Police officers called to 50-year-old Patrick Bustamante’s death considered it suspicious on the first day of the investigation. He died from a single gunshot wound.
Investigators have determined his son, 23-year-old Patrick Salazar-Bustamante, was handling the gun at the time of the shooting.
Bustamante’s death is the 33rd homicide investigation in the city for 2018.
