COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU) tweeted that all but 150 customers have had their power restored following an outage Friday afternoon.
At one time, approximately 5,800 customers were without power around the downtown area and the west side of Colorado Springs.
CSU said wind blew debris onto some of their power lines, which caused it.
The Pikes Peak Library District is closing the Penrose Library at 12:30 p.m. because of the outage.
