COLORADO SPRINGS – A dad was reunited with his child after a terrifying close call in Colorado Springs Wednesday night.
Colorado Springs Police said a car with an infant inside was stolen but was later found abandoned blocks away from the scene in southeast Colorado Springs Wednesday night.
Officers said a man told them that he left his infant inside his running car when he briefly went inside his home to grab something just before 6 p.m. Wednesday. When he came back out, the car was gone.
The car was stolen at a home off of Whittier Drive, near the intersection of Pikes Peak Avenue and S. Murray Blvd. Police said they found it abandoned less than a mile away. The infant was not hurt.
