EL PASO COUNTY – The crash of a small plane leaving the Meadow Lake Airport northeast of Falcon resulted in minor injuries to one person on board.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office confirms the two-passenger aircraft leaving the airport did not reach the necessary speed for takeoff and collided with a fence.
The aircraft came to a stop upside down next to a building.
As the crash was outside of the airport property, there was little impact to daily operations as our News5 photographer saw other private aircraft arriving and departing.
