FREMONT COUNTY – The Santa Express Train is up at running along the Royal Gorge Route Railroad.

This holiday season the staff is expecting to see as many as 300,000 people to ride the train. There is also a new train ride– the Breakfast with Santa Train, where families enjoy a freshly cooked breakfast while waiting to spend some time with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

There are four departures daily which also include lunch and dinner trains, hot cocoa for the kids and adult beverages for the parents.

“Riding a train to the North Pole is a lot like flying to the moon,” said Mark Greksa, the Royal Gorge Route Railroad’s owner. “It’s magical and wonderful – and totally unplugged. It allows folks to live entirely in the moment while they ride and dine, and fully celebrate the holidays surrounded by friends, family, and SANTA!”

The ride to the North Pole is an hour and a half and runs through the Royal Gorge. To book tickets and learn more about the trainclick here.
