PUEBLO – Pueblo’s School District 60 is reacting after allegations from students that a teacher sent inappropriate content to them on Thursday morning.
A student has reached out to News5 and said the content was a link to an adult website.
Pueblo Police have confirmed that as true, but are not pursuing any criminal charges as they have concluded it was all a mistake. The teacher was using a homework app to send a text when there was a typo which created an unintended hyperlink to a site containing pornography.
In a statement released Thursday night, the district said a teacher at Central High School sent a message to students via text message in regard to a homework assignment. The statement goes on to say that as a result of the content the District contacted Pueblo Police and the teacher has been placed on leave until further notice.
There’s no word yet from the district on whether the teacher will return to class or remain on leave.
