Governor Hickenlooper issues 23 pardons

COLORADO – Governor John Hickenlooper announced pardons for 23 offenders in Colorado who have already served their sentences.

“These individuals have demonstrated that they have moved beyond their mistakes and are committed to taking advantage of the second chance they have been given,” said Governor John Hickenlooper.  “It’s our belief that they will make the most of this opportunity by doing even more for their families and their communities.”

There are 3 people included in this group who went through El Paso County courts.  The crimes committed range from include drug offenses, theft, criminal mischief, aggravated robbery, fraudulent use of a credit card, forgery and assault.

In letters to those pardoned Hickenlooper wrote,  “I hope that this pardon will create opportunity for you. It is up to you to make the most of this opportunity. It will require hard workd and dedication, I believe you have it in you to move beyond past mistakes.”

  • Scott T. Brann – 2004 conviction in Jefferson County for felony Vehicular Assault – Criminal Attempt
  • Clesson J. Connelly – 1998 conviction in Jefferson County for felony Criminal Mischief
  • Donald S. Ertle – 1992 conviction in Adams County for felony Distribution of a Controlled Substance – Schedule II
  • Michael S. Gehrke – 2001 conviction in Adams County for felony Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Theft from a Person
  • Tiffany D. Ghere – 2003 conviction in Montezuma County for felony Possession of a Controlled Substance – Schedule II
  • Richard P. Keels – 2005 conviction in El Paso County for felony Theft
  • April C. Koski – 2003  conviction in  Garfield County for felony Forgery, misdemeanor Attempted Theft, misdemeanor Harassment
  • Brent P. Krolicki – 1998 conviction in Jefferson County for felony First Degree Criminal Trespass
