STERLING -Four correctional officers at the Sterling Correctional Facility are recovering after they were assaulted in the dining hall sometime Tuesday evening.
The injured staff members received emergency treatment on site and were then taken to the hospital by ambulance or other staff members. Officials at the facility have not provided any information on how serious any of the injuries are, or how many offenders were involved in the assaults.
The Sterling facility is currently locked down.
