FREDERICK – Christopher Watts is due to appear at a status hearing in Weld County Court on Tuesday afternoon. The 33-year old Frederick man is accused of killing his pregnant wife and two young daughters last August.

Watts confessed to killing his wife on August 13th, but he stated that he only did it after he saw his wife strangling their three and four-year-old

daughters.  The bodies of the two girls were found in oil wells owned by Anadarko, where Christopher had worked. The body of his wife was found a short distance away.

Watts is charged with five counts of first-degree murder, one count of first-degree unlawful termination of pregnancy and three counts of tampering with a deceased human body. He remains in custody without bond. Another status conference is scheduled for November 19th, as well.
