COLORADO SPRINGS – Several people and a Colorado Springs police officer have minor injuries after a fight broke out at O’Furry’s bar at 900 E. Fillmore St. Saturday night.

Officers say they were flagged down by some of the bar staff because their bouncers were involved in a fight with some of the patrons. Officers had to spray the crowd with pepper spray in order to gain control of them.

33-year old Brian Sanders was reportedly upset about one of the bouncers he had been in a fight with and he kicked Sgt. Dan Carter in his right hip/groin area. Sanders was arrested then taken to CJC on charges of Assault on Peace Officer, Obstructing, Assault in the 3rd Degree, and Trespassing.

The sergeant was not seriously injured. Several other people were treated by EMT’s on the scene and police say they were uncooperative with their investigators.
