El Paso County Sheriff’s Office K9 gifted with bullet and stab proof vest

EL PASO COUNTY – Thanks to a charitable donation, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office K9 Taz has been given a bullet and stab protective vest.

The donation was from Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., a non-profit organization. The vest has also been embroidered with “Gifted by Michelle and Paul Blaskowski,” who sponsored the vest.

The non-profit organization’s mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests along with other help to dogs of law enforcement throughout the country.  There are an estimated 30,000 law enforcement K9s throughout the U.S., according to a release.

Each vest has a value between $1,744-$2,283, with a five-year- warranty.
