Missing developmentally disabled man found in Aurora

October 11th update:  Aurora Police report Jamal was found safe.


AURORA – Authorities are searching for a 37-year-old missing man with developmental disabilities Wednesday.

Jamel Mazique was last seen near E 1st Ave and Havana Street in Aurora Tuesday afternoon. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation says Mazique does not have any means of transportation or identification.

He cognitively functions as an adolescent and can become aggressive in public. Authorities say he does require medication and has some family ties in New York.

Mazique is described as a black male, 5’8″, 180 pounds, was last seen wearing a black baseball hat with white writing, grey Rockies shirt, black jeans, black high top Nike shoes, and a grey Sean John jacket.
