SAN MIGUEL COUNTY – Around noon on Saturday, the San Miguel Sheriff’s Office reported their officers were on the scene of an overturned semi-truck that was carrying cattle.
The crash happened on Lone Cone Rd in Norwood.
All lanes of the road were blocked for nearly six hours while crews worked to clear the vehicle and remove the cattle.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the semi was carrying 42, pregnant cows that had to be extricated by the Norwood Fire Department.
The Sheriff’s Office said the driver of the semi was un-injured and only one cow was killed.
