COLORADO SPRINGS – A Colorado Springs Police officer has minor injuries and a police cruiser has major damage after an accident early Monday morning.
The officer was headed to help another officer when a pick-up truck apparently made a turn in front of the officer at Union Blvd. and Platte Avenue. The officer swerved to miss the truck, hit the curb and plowed into a light pole on the southwest side of the intersection.
The driver in the pick-up truck was not involved in the crash and did stop after the accident. They were ticketed for the crash.
