PUEBLO WEST – Pueblo County deputies said there was never any threat or danger to students and staff after deputies found a gun inside a student’s car outside of Pueblo West High School.
The Sheriff’s Office said the student is being referred to the district attorney’s office for the filing of possible charges.
On Thursday morning school administrators got a tip that juveniles in the parking lot were possibly drinking alcohol. They called deputies, who said when they arrived, they found a gun on the floorboard of the vehicle. Deputies took one of the juveniles into custody.
Classes at the school were not affected by this incident.
