COLORADO SPRINGS – Police have determined Sunday’s double shooting on Howard Avenue in Colorado Springs was a murder-suicide.
The victim was identified on Monday as 33-year-old Sheldon King of Colorado Springs.
Today, police identified the deceased suspect as 68-year-old Frank Dillard. Dillard was taken to the hospital with a self-inflicted gunshot wound on the day of the shootings. He died on Tuesday.
Police believe Dillard shot King before turning the gun on himself. King’s death is the 24th homicide in the city for 2018.
