COLORADO SPRINGS – Fire crews responded to a hit natural gas line in eastern Colorado Springs Tuesday.
It happened at the intersection of Whimsical Dr. and Rio Vista Drive around 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Colorado Springs Utilities said it has shut off gas in at the location and repairs to a 2-inch line are underway. The intersection will remain closed for the rest of Tuesday afternoon.
The damaged line prompted evacuations in the neighborhood earlier on Tuesday.
The neighborhood is just west of Powers Blvd., south of N. Carefree Circle.
