Colorado Springs Police arrest man suspected of assaulting Uber driver

COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs Police said they arrested a man wanted in connection to attempting to sexually assault an Uber driver and stealing her car early Monday morning in Colorado Springs.

Police arrested 22-year-old Raydrian Tyree Scott Wednesday. Police said Scott was arrested several outstanding misdemeanor warrants out of Pueblo and failing to register as a sex offender in Alabama. Police said he still had the victim’s 2011 Chevy Cruze when he was arrested.

Scott is expected to face new charges of attempted sexual assault, second-degree assault, robbery, aggravated motor vehicle theft and failure to register as a sex offender.

CSPD said Scott assaulted and tried to sexually assault a 63-year-old woman who served as his Uber driver around 4:30 a.m. Monday morning in the 500 block of East Dale Street. The victim told police he hit her and bit her several times, causing significant injuries. She was able to get out of her car, and the suspect stole the car.

Colorado Springs Police said they worked with Pueblo Police to arrest him.
