WESTMINSTER – A two-year-old girl was struck and killed by a truck driven by her mother early Wednesday morning in Westminster, according to Westminster police.
In a news briefing, a spokesperson for Westminster police said the mom was backing out of the driveway with two other children in the vehicle when the accident happened.
The fatal incident happened around 7 a.m. at 8601 Zuni St., which is inside a mobile home park. The child was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating even though they believe it was an accident. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected. The child and the mother have not been identified at this time.
