PUEBLO – Pueblo Police identified a man suspected of pulling a knife on a woman and demanding money Tuesday morning.

A Pueblo County Sheriff’s deputy arrested 19-year-old Vetho Finnell-Vigil shortly after the incident. He’s suspected of a felony menacing charge and possession of burglary tools.

Police said Finnell-Vigil asked a woman for money after she left her car in the 1600 block of West U.S. Highway 50 around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday.  Police said when she didn’t give her any money, he pulled a knife and threatened her.

Police discouraged residents from giving cash to panhandlers and instead encouraged people to give to local charities instead.
