DOUGLAS COUNTY – The Franktown Fire Department tweeted Wednesday night that both firefighters that were hurt in a rollover crash were released from the hospital.

Two firefighters were airlifted as a precaution after their tender truck rolled over on Wolfsenberger Road near Colorado Highway 105 Tuesday night.

Other firefighters had to cut open the roof of the truck, which crashed through a fence and into a yard while it was responding to a call off of Pine Cliff Avenue near Sedalia.

The firefighters were alert and answering questions when they were taken, but their condition was listed as critical late Tuesday night.

Franktown Fire tweeted “Thanks to all for thoughts, prayers, and amazing support.” They also tweeted both firefighters wanted to thank the community for an outpouring of love.

The crash remains under investigation.
