COLORADO — New leadership in Denver for House and Senate Democrats today retained control of both chambers following the election.
In the Senate, Pueblo Sen. Leroy Garcia retained his job as president of the Senate with Steve Fenberg of Boulder as the Majority Leader.
Garcia began as the Senate Minority Leader in 2016 then became the Senate President just two years later.
But some new leadership in the House for the Democrats includes Rep. Daneye Esgar of Pueblo as the new Majority Leader and Alec Garnett of Denver of the Speaker
The 2021 legislative session is set to begin on January 13.
