COLORADO SPRINGS — Two burglary suspects were arrested after stealing items from multiple businesses in the Briargate neighborhood Wednesday afternoon, according to Colorado Springs Police.
Police said the witnesses, owners of one of the businesses burglarized, watched one of the suspects from video surveillance cameras that were both inside and outside the building in the 1800 block of Briargate Blvd, which is near Chapel Hills Mall. When officers arrived, they found nearby businesses were also broken into.
The witnesses met officers at the business and police said they saw a "suspicious person" in a nearby neighborhood. Officers checked for the person and said they found a vehicle driving in circles. Police said when they stopped the car they determined the driver and passenger were the suspects based on stolen items in the car.
John Warren and Trenton Hagan were arrested and police said this could clear several open cases.
