2 arrested in a shots fire incident in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS — Two people have been arrested after a shots fired incident on the east side of Colorado Springs.

At 6:06 p.m. Saturday night Colorado Springs Police officers were dispatched to a shots fired call in the area of Wynkoop Dr. and Constitution Ave. Witnesses say they saw one vehicle chasing another vehicle and multiple shots were fired.

While fleeing the area, one of the vehicles ran a stop sign and crashed into a vehicle traveling westbound on Constitution Ave. According to CSPD, multiple people fled from the vehicle that crashed. Officers later found two of those individuals. The second vehicle involved in the disturbance has not been located.

A boy was arrested for a weapons violation and one woman, 39-year-old Rayyan Sharief, was arrested for obstructing police officers.
