PUEBLO — Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo is stepping up precautions in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.

On Wednesday they began setting up tents outside the emergency room for patients who are showing symptoms so they can be screened before a decision is made to treat them inside the hospital.

"We want to continue to care for our community during the COVID-19 outbreak and we are just taking all the steps necessary to be prepared," said Rachael Morris with Parkview Medical Center. "If we do need to use them, then we do not need to set them up, we are ready for that."

Starting on Monday, Parkview Medical Center will check temperature for every visitor to make sure they are not sick when they enter the medical center.
