COLORADO SPRINGS – National Parks Week kicks off Saturday with several events planned across the country, including free admission on Saturday, April 20.
Every year in April the President declares National Park Week to celebrate America’s treasured parks. It’s a time to explore new places, discover stories of history and culture, and get to know your national park.
Parks across the country will host special programs and events throughout the week. There are also special days during the week highlighting different ways to enjoy national parks.
The National Park Service website has more details on the program, including events planned at every park.
