As we approach spring break, expect more traffic, longer lift lines and more crowded runs, because if there’s a year to come to Colorado’s ski areas, this is a great one.

Here are the latest ski conditions…

At least 50″…to 100″!

There was very little new snow this week, but chances on Friday could bring some fresh powder for those Saturday morning runs.

Snow on Friday, tapers to flurries on Saturday, and a hodge-podge of sun, clouds and flurry Sunday. Highs at Monarch and Loveland will hover from the upper to mid-20s each day.

Snow bases are big, across the board…between 50 and 100 inches. Monarch and Loveland are in great shape, between 72 and 95-inch bases.

Also, be sure to wear sunscreen. It only takes a short amount of time to get a sunburn with the spring sun and the amount of snow in the high country.
