COLORADO SPRINGS – Bristol Brewing Company will release one of its most popular seasonal beers, the “Venetucci Pumpkin Ale”, on Thursday.

The brewery is hosting a kickoff event at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at their brewery at the Ivywild School.

Like last year, the pumpkins are from Milberger Farms in Pueblo, not Venetucci Farms due to concerns about contaminated groundwater.

While the pumpkins may not be from Venetucci, the brewery said 100 percent of Bristol’s profits will still benefit Ventetuci Farm, a non-profit organization.

“It’s an opportunity for us as a community to really understand the importance of local farms, local food and
community,” said Mike Bristol. ” That’s what Venetucci’s going through, a transition now, where the community really has an impact to decide, what is the future? ”

The brewery expects to raise about $40,000 for Venetucci Farm

Bristol Brewing expects liquor stores to begin receiving shipments of the beer on Friday and to continue throughout the week.
