MONTROSE – From rattlesnakes to bears, Colorado’s wildlife can be dangerous. However, one homeowner in Montrose County thought another threatening wild animal was hanging out near their house last weekend.

Montrose County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home late at night with a report that a foot-long alligator was on their porch.

When deputies arrived, they found the animal was a salamander, which provided a good laugh for all parties involved.
