Maybe you are already reading a page turner you just cannot put down.

Or perhaps you don’t want to admit how long it has been since you’ve cracked open a book.

Either way, today is the perfect day to get reading because it is World Book Day!

The celebration of all things literary is sanctioned by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Agency, better known as UNESCO.

Why chose today’s date as World Book Day? UNESCO actually chose this day quite on purpose.

April 23rd marks the death of Shakespeare, Cervantes, and Peruvian author Inca Garcilaso de la Vega.

Reading can educate, enlighten, entertain, and even help you sleep.

Experts say you should avoid the type of light emitted by phones, computers, and televisions before trying to sleep. But reading in bed can help get your body ready to catch some z’s.
